Feeder pipe

The feeder pipe is one of the main components Poultry feeding system in poultry houses. This pipe transfers feed from the main hopper to automatic or pan feeders. Pipe feeding systems are used in most modern poultry houses and play an important role in uniform, hygienic and regular feed distribution. The feeding pipes available from Arian Poultry Equipment are divided into two categories:

 How a pipe feeding system works

1. Feed is stored in the tank (hopper).
2. The auger inside the feeding pipe moves the feed forward.
3. Feed falls into the pan feeders through holes in the pipe.
4. The end-of-line sensor switches off the system when the feeders are full.

Important installation and maintenance points

• Pipes must be installed completely level and straight to convey feed correctly.
• The auger must be free of bends and breaks.
• It must be washed and disinfected periodically to prevent fungal or bacterial contamination.
• Installing an accurate sensor improves system efficiency.
• A stable power supply for the motor is essential.
